When you write in, these three details let us answer in one reply instead of four:
The app needs location permission to do anything at all. Open the iPhone Settings app → Privacy & Security → Location Services, make sure Location Services is on, then find Find My Location in the list and allow it.
Indoors, the first fix can take a minute and can be off by tens of metres. Standing near a window or stepping outside usually resolves it.
Addresses come from Apple’s mapping data, not from us. Newly built streets and recently renumbered properties can lag by months, and we cannot correct them from inside the app. The latitude and longitude shown are the accurate values — if those look right and the street name does not, the map data is the thing that is behind.
Trip recording continues with the screen off only if you have turned on the background option on the Location tab. iOS will also stop a background app if the device is very low on battery or if Low Power Mode is on.
On your phone, and only on your phone. The app keeps roughly the last week of travel so the Trips tab has something to show, and older entries fall off automatically. Nothing is uploaded to us, there is no account, and there is no sign-in.
The Settings tab can write a backup file that you keep, and read one back in later. Because the file is yours, it goes wherever you put it — iCloud Drive, Files, or a computer.
Steps come from the iPhone’s own motion sensor, which needs the Motion & Fitness permission. Counts settle a short while after you stop walking rather than updating on every step, so a number checked mid-stride will read low.
Your position, speed, altitude and compass all work with no data connection, because they come from the phone’s own sensors. Looking up places and weather needs a connection.
Email playmine.support@gmail.com with the three details listed above. If the problem involves a specific place or a specific trip, saying roughly when it happened helps us line it up with what the app would have been doing at the time.
The same address. Feature requests genuinely do get read, and several shipped features started as one.
